Break the Taboo Malta is an initiative that collects and shares real abortion stories and experiences from Malta. Its aim is to bring to light Malta’s abortion reality.

In Malta, abortion is illegal and criminalised in all circumstances, even if the woman's life is in danger or if a woman is pregnant from rape. 

"Break the Taboo Malta is a collection of abortion experiences from Malta. We would like everyone to gain insight into the various circumstances and situations surrounding abortion experiences. These are real women's stories, published anonymously out of fear of negative social repercussions. We hope their lived experiences will help break the taboo!"
